Ways to Support the Grenfell District Health Foundation and the Construction of the Long Term Care Facility

Building a Stronger Future for Grenfell and Area

The Grenfell District is taking an important step forward in ensuring that our seniors, adults with disabilities, and families have access to the quality care and support they deserve. Our Long Term Care Project will create a modern, welcoming, and fully accessible facility designed to meet the evolving needs of our community—today and for generations to come.

A Home That Supports All Ages

While the new facility will provide long-term care for seniors, it will also serve younger individuals living with disabilities who require additional support. Our goal is to offer a safe, inclusive environment where all residents can receive compassionate, professional care close to home.

Supporting Independence and Aging in Place

Beyond long-term care, the project includes a range of community-based services that help people remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible. These services will include:

  • Adult Day Program – offering social connection, therapeutic activities, and respite for caregivers

  • Bathing Program – providing dignified, assisted bathing for those who need support

  • Meals on Wheels – delivering nutritious meals to individuals living at home

  • Other community outreach services designed to enhance quality of life and reduce hospitalization

Strengthening Our Community

The new facility will replace the previous long term care facility that was closed in 2018 and ensure that families and individuals no longer need to seek care far from home. It supports the repatriation back to their home community, keeps families closer together, and strengthens rural health care in our region.

We are committed to building not just a facility, but a foundation for better care, stronger community connections, and a brighter future for everyone who calls the Grenfell District home.

To bring this much-needed facility to life, we need your donations and support. Community investment is essential to ensuring that our residents, neighbors, and future generations have access to the compassionate, high-quality care they deserve.

Together, we can build a brighter, healthier future for our region. Thank you for standing with us.

Official tax receipts will be issued for contributions of $20 or more.
